Patient Participation Group

It is a partnership between the Surgery and the patients enabling good communication between them to improve the quality of the service that is provided.

The PPG comprises of patient volunteers who are the “Patient Representatives” of the practice. They are supported by the Doctors and Practice Manager who meet with them to discuss patient needs, so that the members can then relay points back to their community through local networks.

Purpose of PPG

A Patient Participation Groups are an effective way for patients and GP surgeries to work together to improve services and to promote health and improved quality of care. This work is very much appreciated by the practice.

Greater patient involvement in personal healthcare needs and also in the development of local and national healthcare provision is an important part of future development of healthcare services, the patient participation group is always looking for volunteers to help in a variety of ways without being involved in the management of the group.
