Appointments will be offered to all Patients who have an angina or who have had a heart attack or stroke who have heart failure, or who are at high risk of developing heart disease. The aim is to review the condition and treatment, and lower risk factors in order to prevent further illness.
First symptoms of heart disease are :
- chest pain
- breathlessness
- heart palpitations
You’re more likely to develop heart disease if:
- you smoke
- you have high blood pressure
- you have high cholesterol
- you don’t do enough physical activity
- you’re overweight or obese
